Refund Policy

Salish Snow Sports is a small, community-based nonprofit youth program. Registration is limited, and many of our operating expenses—including transportation, insurance, program administration, supplies, and other program costs—are committed based on enrollment and must be reserved or paid in advance.

For these reasons, all Salish Snow Sports tuition and registration payments are non-refundable.

No Refunds, Credits or Prorated Tuition

Once a student is registered, Salish Snow Sports does not provide refunds, credits, transfers to a future season, or prorated tuition if a participant withdraws or misses any portion of the program.

This includes absences or withdrawals resulting from:

Illness or injury
Family emergencies or changes in personal circumstances
Vacations or scheduling conflicts
School, athletic, extracurricular, or family commitments
A student’s decision not to continue
Missing the bus or arriving after departure
Missing a lesson or program Saturday
A family’s decision not to participate because of weather or road conditions
Suspension or removal from the program because of participant conduct

We understand that unexpected circumstances happen. However, our transportation and other operating costs are based on enrollment and generally do not decrease when an individual student is unable to attend.

Missed Program Days

Salish Snow Sports is designed as a multi-week program, and families are strongly encouraged to attend every scheduled Saturday.

Missing a Saturday does not qualify a participant for a refund or credit.

This is especially important during the first two Saturdays for beginning skiers and snowboarders. Lessons build upon skills learned during previous weeks, and a student who misses an early lesson may have difficulty rejoining their assigned group.

If Stevens Pass Ski & Ride School determines that additional or individual instruction is necessary before a student can safely rejoin their group, the family may be responsible for arranging and paying for that additional instruction.

Weather and Program Cancellations

Mountain travel is subject to changing weather, road conditions, ferry operations, avalanche control, transportation availability, resort operations, and other circumstances outside our control.

Salish Snow Sports and our transportation partners will always prioritize participant safety when determining whether a program day can proceed.

If Salish Snow Sports must cancel a scheduled Saturday, we may attempt to use the designated make-up day when possible. A make-up day is not guaranteed.

Because many program expenses may already have been paid or committed, a canceled program day does not automatically qualify participants for a refund, credit, or prorated tuition.

Third-Party Purchases

Salish Snow Sports tuition is separate from purchases families may make directly through Stevens Pass, Stevens Pass Ski & Ride School, Vail Resorts/EpicPass, rental providers, or other third parties.

These purchases may include:

Ski or snowboard lessons
Lift tickets or student lift packages
Epic passes or Epic Day Passes
Equipment rentals
Other resort products or services

Salish Snow Sports cannot issue refunds for payments made directly to another organization.

Refunds, credits, cancellations, unused days, injuries, or other requests related to those purchases are governed by the terms and policies of the organization from which the product was purchased. Families should review those policies carefully before completing a purchase.

Payment Plans

Choosing a Salish Snow Sports payment plan does not change this Refund Policy.
